Cast the bait and allow the Star Shiner to swim into and deflect off structure. After the bait makes contact, pause and let it slowly rise waiting for a fish to strike. The Star Shiner’s versatility is evident when used as a power jerkbait. Jerking the rod in a sweeping motion will cause the bait to swim wildly. Pause for 1 second and continue this sweeping action using erratic twitches and jerks. Also great for slow rolling.
