In 2014 the Squall Level Winds will be launched as the successors to the proven GT reels, with a few upgrades of course. We’ve added an Instant Anti-Reverse Bearing, Line Capacity Rings, and our Versa-Handle™. These reels will be offered in 4 sizes as well as left hand and line counter models.
Finally for 2014 the Squall Lever Drag 2-Speeds round out the family and allow anglers to step up to a big game reel. These reels will be offered in our proven 16, 30W, and 50W IGFA sizes which basically means they hold 1000yds of 16, 30, and 50lb mono. With an all stainless steel gear train the Quick Shift ™ system allows anglers to quickly move in and out of high and low gear. This coupled with our proprietary Dura Drag ™ system will make Marlin and Tuna beg for mercy....check out page 10-13 for more info on the Squall line up of reels.

Jeff Weese is a nature artist who grew up in Ontario, Canada. He began painting with watercolor and acrylics at the age of eighteen, and studied fine art at St. Lawrence College in Kingston, Ontario. Jeff now resides in South Carolina, where he paints scenes depicting the beauty of the low country and beaches of South Carolina. Known for his attention to detail and use of light, his oil paintings are well received in his adopted country.
His latest work for the 2014 PENN catalog cover, “Battle Below”, is located in the Gulf of Mexico and shows a massive black grouper as it prepares to feed on a spiny lobster, while a small school of amberjack watch the drama unfold.

Hollow Blank
Ton rating is the metric equivalent of a modulus rating. The higher the rating number the stiffer the carbon fibers. Stiffer fibers allow the use of less material making a lighter, more sensitive rod.
