O.B. Minnow & O.B. Mag Shad
Any fish that feeds on large baitfish is now within reach with the release of the O.B. Minnow by Optimum Bait Co. The patented hand crafted wood minnow is known for its natural trout (large baitfish) like action and can be fished multiple ways. When fished with a slow retrieve, the tail creates a wake on the surface while the body slowly rolls producing a deadly swimming action. This wake like action is ideal for shallow areas or over submerged brush, weeds or grass and creates the thrill of a lifetime when the explosive topwater strike occurs. Cranking the bait faster allows the bait to dive to ranges of 4-5 feet for the lunkers hanging around deeper edges and points. For those whopper size striper and lake trout, surface trolling the minnow is also a popular and successful method. (Do not use with a downrigger; the high pressure will cause wood to split.)

The 7” O.B. Mag Shad features a flat-sided body so on a straight retrieve it has a much tighter vibration than the O.B. Minnow . The slimmer profile and sharper cut lip enables the bait to dig easier thus diving to greater depths. Because of this design a more popular technique with the Mag is to twitch and jerk it erratically inducing the strike.

T’s Reflex
These lures are meticulously handmade for the serious fisherman and collector. Optimum sourced out a well known Japanese lure builder and came up with the T’s Reflex . The Reflex is made out of Jelutong wood so it is remarkably strong and durable. It features 15 coats of premium paint and has a beautiful foil finish to perfect its looks. The 3 piece jointed wooden lure swims with a deadly methodical waking action. It can be cranked to depths of up to 5-6 feet. It is 7” long and weighs 2.5oz. Available in 3 natural colors.
